Having worked at the Prince Edward County Chamber of Tourism for ten years, Jan Robbins saw the need for a souvenir shop in the County. Tourism has always been big but has become even more so with the addition of all the wineries, eateries, etc. that have now become part of the County patchwork. So, in 2014 Jan retired at the end of January and then worked harder than ever to get County Keepsakes up and running for the season that year. It all came together and the grand opening was held the evening of May 15th with “Shout Sister” singing up a storm in the parking lot.
The first year was quite successful and Jan is hoping to make 2015 even better. In store this year are some new and exclusive products that she has sourced from some strange places. Again the t-shirt designs are all hers only too. The shop has something for everyone, unique selections for both the frugal and the affluent. Our favourite saying is “Only in the County” and that’s where you will find many of the items at County Keepsakes.
