The Community Care Foundation is the fundraising arm of The Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors Association, and 100% of the funds raised support programs for seniors right here in Prince Edward County. The Thrift Shop at 153 Main Street in Picton is the major fundraising vehicle and it involves over 60 people who volunteer to sort, clean and price the goods that are donated by many generous people.
Many willing volunteers are involved in Community Care’s activities. Prince Edward County is the best place in the world to live, work and volunteer.
Community Care’s Thrift Shop offers good used clothing for the whole family, shoes, linens, toys, household items, sports equipment, knick knacks, seasonal items, jewellery, housewares and furniture. The volunteers at the shop welcome donations at 153 Main Street in Picton, Monday 1pm – 4 pm and Tuesday to Saturday 10am-4pm. Community Care’s Thrift Shop helps to reduce, recycle and enables others to reuse. More volunteers are always welcome! 100% of the proceeds help County seniors live at home.
